The Richmond Building is the home of Bristol SU. With a buzzing bar, countless events, gigs and a theatre, Bristol SU is a social hub for students. But the SU offers more than just a good social life. It hosts a range of useful services that can help you get to grips with the practical side of university life. Let us introduce a few key SU Services you need to know about. 

 

Balloon Bikes:

Despite the unrelenting presence of hills at every turn, Bristol is a great cycling city. With increased cycling lanes and lots of places to lock your bike around the city, cycling is the perfect way to get around. Bristol SU's bike scheme offers students the chance to hire a bike for the whole academic year at just £50 (plus a £100 deposit). Cycling is a great way to get fit, beat the traffic and seriously reduce your carbon footprint. There are just 75 bikes available and they are issued on a first-come, first-served basis. The pre-registration goes live on A level results day, Thursday 16th August, with bikes going on sale officially on the 1st October. For more information on the scheme, please click here. 

Blackwell’s:

Stay on top of your studies this term and get yourself down to Blackwell’s Bookshop. It’s situated just inside the foyer of the Richmond Building, only a short walk from campus. Blackwell’s offers discounted packages on module reading lists and sells both new and second-hand books.
