Intramural is back!

What is Intramural?

Intramural is a fun, social, multi-sport programme for students who just want to turn up and play. Be part of a community of nearly 3000 players, in 250 teams, across 11-a-side football, 8-a-side football, 6-a-side football, netball, hockey, badminton, basketball, volleyball and our brand new women's football league.

Why join?

Make friends and do the sports you love without the pressure or train regularly.

Be part of a team with people from your halls, society or a group of friends. No one to play with? We’ll find you a team.

Take part a range of sports, why not try something new? Most sports are mixed gender, and all are mixed ability.

Get great value for money knowing all fees are reinvested back into the programme. Over the course of the season, most sports work out at between £2-3 per game.

When does it start?

The 2021/2022 season is coming to an end with only our cricket league still ongoing. All other leagues will relaunch in October 2022. If you would like to register your interest for next season, please fill in this form.

How do I get involved?

You can either start your own team or join an existing team. Players can join a registered team by getting the unique team code from the captain. The unique code will begin with a letter 'A' or 'B' followed by a series of numbers, you will need to enter this when you select your annual Intramural membership here. To find a team that suits you, please see below: 

 

Halls teams - If you are currently living in halls, you can join the halls team for your sport, see below for the unique code for each sport / residence. Note that for some sports Halls teams will represent a specific hall, and for others they may represent the entire student village (West, North or East). Students living in halls don't have to join a halls based team (e.g. you can join a society team if you prefer).

How much does it cost?

All of the leagues cost either £28 or £36 as a one-off payment for the whole academic year - depending on the sport. This means most sports work out at £2-3 per match. For any players joining after Christmas it is only £15 per person and for our new Women's football league it is only £5!

How can I stay up to date?

If you use Facebook, you can join the Facebook Group for the sports you're interested in. Major announcements will still be made via email, but the Facebook Groups are used for general updates.
