The Best Student Life. Bristol SU

The word 'representation' with students listening to a speech in the background

Bristol SU is a democracy.

This means that you elect the students who lead the SU and represent you.

You have reps for your course to address your academic concerns to the University. There are reps in halls of residences called JCRs who lead on creating communities in halls. There are also reps for societies and sports clubs to make sure your interests are represented. Finally, there are reps for a variety of identities through Network chairs.

You can make sure these reps are the best people for the role by standing for a position or voting in the annual elections.

Find out more about your representatives and what they’re doing for you by coming to a democratic event, exploring the Networks pages, seeing what the full-time officers are up to, or getting involved with your JCR.
