Bristol SU regularly conducts research into the student experience. This is undertaken by our Research and Consultation Coordinator, Vasiliki Sogia (vasiliki.sogia@bristol.ac.uk) and teams of Student Researchers. The research conducted by Bristol SU includes surveys, interviews and focus groups. Some research projects are focused on a specific topic, such as the BME attainment gap, and other research projects are more explorative and cover the whole student experience.
We use research to find out more about students' experiences at Bristol. The results are used to both improve our own services and to lobby the University to improve the student experience. For example our BME Attainment Gap research project has led to the introduction of BME Success Ambassadors at the university, and has also led us to run the Bristol BME Power List.
