This week is Mental Health Awareness Week and there is no better time to be considering your own wellbeing and making some time for self-care. We've created a series of challenges that you can take part in throughout the week (and beyond) which are connected to the 5 Ways to Wellbeing.
Please share your experiences with us by tagging @bristol_su on Instagram.
Go outside and take a photo every time you see something beautiful you haven’t noticed before (whilst retaining a responsible social distance).
Take a minute to focus on your breathing and release tension in your body. Where have you been holding tension that you hadn’t noticed?
Try and find out something new about a friend, family member, or housemate. What’s their favorite memory or greatest achievement?
Find out an obscure fact you didn’t know before and share it with another person. It could be a good start to a unique quiz round!
Think of a game that you played when you were younger like hopscotch or handstands - can you recreate it now?
Put on some energetic music and make cleaning up your workspace into a physical game or dance!
Write a letter or send an email to someone you can’t see right now. Who are you writing to and why?
Put 5 minutes aside to call someone and find out how they really are.
Complete a small act of kindness for someone else each day this week. What have you done and why?
Sign up to volunteer in the local community or through an online volunteering project. There are plenty of suggestions at www.bristolsu.org.uk/skills-volunteering
If you are currently feeling isolated, connect to other students at Bristol through the Bristol SU Online Living Room.
Join the Bristol SU Wellbeing Network.
