Following a competitive round of recruitment, Bristol SU has appointed a new CEO to fill the vacancy created earlier this year when Sam Budd stepped down from the role. 

We are pleased to announce that Ben Pilling will be taking on the role of Bristol SU’s new Chief Executive.  

Ben has been the Chief Operating Officer at Bristol SU for over ten years and has stepped up as Acting Chief Executive during sabbatical leave and in the months following Sam’s departure. 

As Chief Operating Officer Ben has led successful projects such as the launch of Bristol SU Lettings, award winning housing initiative LaunchPad and the development of the Bristol SU Living Room. 

Ben said: 
“Bristol Students Union is an amazing organisation with a rich history and bright future.  I'm constantly inspired by the incredible student activity that we help to sustain, the important campaigns that we support and the meaningful difference that a strong student voice makes to students' lives on a day to day basis.  I'm thrilled and excited to take on this opportunity and I look forward to building on the positive contribution throughout the Student and University community."
