The festive season is a great opportunity to get to know your friends and flatmates a lot better. Bristol has so much to offer this festive season. Whether it’s grabbing some seasonal food and drink or enjoying the festive activities, there is something for everyone to do this Christmas! Check out some of our suggestions:

 

Cabot Christmas Market

Broadmead, Bristol, BS1 1UX

Broadmead’s Christmas market is back! Here, you can find some of the city’s independent traders selling everything from gorgeous gifts to seasonal food and drink – all from 40 wooden stalls decked out in festive tradition. This is a great location to have an evening out with friends or to find a present for Secret Santa. Visitors can also enjoy heated seating and delicious drinks from the Jäger Barn Bar or book exclusive use of one of the private, cosy igloo pods.

Festive fun at Bristol Zoo Gardens 

Bristol Zoo Gardens, Guthrie Road, Clifton, Bristol, BS8 3HA

Spend a day out with friends and family visiting over 300 animal species at Bristol Zoo. The Zoo is decorated with twinkling lights and there is a giant Christmas tree on the top terrace. You can also grab a hot chocolate (with cream and marshmallows) from The Hide restaurant to warm up your visit. The Zoo has many Christmas gift ideas for animal lovers and each purchase supports the care of the animals at Bristol Zoo and conservation work around the world.

Ice skating at Planet Ice

Enjoy ice skating at Bristol’s new indoor ice rink at Cribbs Causeway. After skating, you can head to The Mall for some Christmas shopping.  

 

Vintage Winter Wonderland in Millennium Square

Anchor Road, Bristol, BS1 5DB

At the harborside winter wonderland, you can enjoy stunning views 40 meters high above Bristol’s harbour on the Observation Wheel. The market has festive tipple with mulled wine, mulled cider and hot chocolate available at stalls. You can also enjoy the vintage dodgems and vintage Chair-o-Planes with friends.

Christmas at St. Nicks Markets

St Nicholas Market, Corn Exchange, Old City, Bristol, BS1 1JQ

Enjoy indoor and outdoor shopping areas at St. Nicks Market with over 60 stalls in the indoor market house. The stalls sell a range of gifts and is a great place to discover handmade crafts and enjoy delicious street food.

Bath on Ice and Glow in the Dark Golf

With the Bath Christmas market taking place virtually this year, you can still enjoy some ice skating followed by some seasonal drinks. Tuesdays are student nights which include 2 for 1 tickets to skate and drink deals at the bar. At the same location, you can grab a ticket for glow in the dark golf. The course is decked out in fairy lights with glow in the dark balls.
