Looking for a night that does not involve going out? Proper Jokes Comedy Night returns on February 22nd... and it looks funnier than ever!

With performances from breakthrough comedians, Phil Jerrod and Suzi Jerrell are eager to bring you a new, and not to mention, hilarious insight to the world through their own roots and personal stories that will get you rolling on the floor with laughter (literally ROFL). Want to find out a bit more before grabbing yourself a ticket? Have no fear, all you need to know is below.

Phil Jerrod

After failing his PhD and quitting his publishing job, Phil Jerrod decided entertain people across the United Kingdom with his constant rants about problems we encounter in contemporary British society. According to the Guardian, his ‘humour is straightforwardly observational, dealing in stories about his middle-class background, his working life and, yes, his beard; stories that are immediately relatable, concerning subjects that are familiar go-tos for many young comics’. The key thing to identify him, would be his ‘alarming amount of face foliage that clings to his chin’, and moves up and down with the jokes coming out of his mouth.

Suzi Ruffell

Described by the Guardian as ‘A Stand Up Gem’ and being a nominee for the Chortle Best Breakthrough Act in 2017, Suzi Ruffell is no small deal. She is constantly in demand in theatres across the UK for a hungry audience desperate to be entertained by her performances. With stories from her personal working class background, the audience can’t help but relate and look at the world through her perspective. That’s what makes Suzi so great. As seen on Channel 4, E4, BBC3, Comedy Central, Dave
and heard on BBC Radio4.

Joanne McNally

Ireland’s fastest rising comedy star, Joanne McNally recently finished a national tour of her one woman sell out show Bite Me and is now headed to Bristol SU. Joanne burst onto the comedy scene in 2014, describing her relationship with comedy as "self-preservation" and, in less than a year in the business, is hosting TV shows, writing and performing stage shows and selling out stand-up gigs. Just some of the TV credits Joanne has to her name includes The Late Late Show, The Tonight Show and The Commute for RTÉ.
