Having gained traction on twitter under the pseudonym @LittleLostLad, Jake Lambert decided to focus his energy on comedy. He was an instant hit, reaching the semi finals of the BBC New Comedy Award within six months of his first gig. Today he writes for 8 out of 10 Cats, Mock the Week and The News Quiz and is ‘smashing the circuit with his combination of youthful charm and quick gags’ (LOL Comedy Club). This year he has supported Tom Allen on his Absolutely Tour and was nominee for the Leicester Comedy Festival Best. “He’s got gags to burn, and can weave them seamlessly into his routines… he’s a talent” (Paul Fleckney, Chortle). He’s definitely one to watch.
Upon trying stand up for the first time in 2014, within a year Huge Davies had supported big name acts such as Sarah Pascoe and NIsh Kumar. In 2017 he was the BBC New Comedy Award semi finalist and he is quickly rising to become one of the most exciting and unique new acts in the UK. His confident stage presence, dark humour, surreal material and one-of-a-kind customised keyboard has earned him the position of Amused Moose finalist in 2017. He regularly performs for thehookmag.com and has filmed at Comedy Central online. He’s “jet black, funny and unsettling” (Chortle).
You can catch the boys on October 25th in the Anson Rooms bar from 7pm, for more info go here. Grab your tickets now for this unmissable night of comedy here. Student tickets are just £5 general admission £7.
