The Boat Race - Saturday 18 March

On Saturday the Harbourside will play host to the historic Boat Race, with eleven races between competitors from Bristol and UWE, going head-to-head for the all important Varsity Points.

This is sure to be a spectacular event with 2 of the UK’s finest boat clubs, hosted in one of the most iconic areas of Bristol. Pack your sunscreen, it might just be a scorcher!

Varsity Launch Night - Thursday 16 March

On Thursday Bristol RAG and UWE RAG will be taking over Walkabout for a night not to be missed! This will undoubtedly be one of the biggest student nights of the term, with competitors from #WeAreBristol and #TeamUWE coming together to celebrate the launch of the series. Rumour has it there will even be a ballpit…

Ignit10n Launch Event  - Thursday 16 March

This Thursday Bristol teams will take to Tyndall Avenue and the Royal Fort pavilion in a drive to raise more money for Above and Beyond (city centre hospices and hospitals in Bristol) than their UWE competitors at Frenchay.

Each club will embrace their own competitive edge, pushing themselves to the absolute limit. Previous challenges have seen the rowing club collectively row the distance to the International Space Station as well as 10 hour marathon games of everything from Basketball to Hockey.

Varsity Hill Climb - tomorrow!

 

On Wednesday University of Bristol Cycling Club challenge UWE to an uphill battle, in the Varsity Hill Climb. You can still sign up to take part in this event, so if you’re looking for a bigger calf workout than St Michael’s Hill or Park Street sign up for the challenge here.
