Another welcome week has come and gone, and we think this might have been the best yet! We hope you had fun saying #HelloBristol - what was your favourite event? Here are some of your elected officers favourite moments from the week.

 

Stanford - Union Affairs Officer

Welcome Fair
Welcome Fair is always my favourite event as it's the time of year that all of our societies get to show what they've got. You might have spotted me running around dressed as the RAG hedgehog, performing on stage with University of Bristol A Cappella society or just trying to chat to as many of you as possible. 

Vanessa - Student Living Officer 

Ceilidh
This was my first Ceilidh and I had a great time dancing with a mix of people and learning some new moves. I didn't know what to expect but it was a lot of fun!

Shubham - Postgraduate Education Officer

Postgraduate welcome mingle
It was great to see so many postgraduate students fill the Balloon Bar for the Postgraduate Network mingle. The Postgraduate Netwrok put on events throughout the year and even have a special deal with the Balloon Bar on Thursday evenings. I'm sure this will be the first of many great events. 

Ginny - Sport and Student Development Officer 

#WeAreBristol Colour Run

The Colour Run sold out with almost 400 people taking part in some exercise and fun. There was a real mix of people taking part, and everyone looked like they were having a great time. 

Nasra - Undergraduate Education Officer 

Inspire talks
I really enjoyed hosting the Inspire Talks with TedX Bristol during welcome week. It was really well attended and the speakers were diverse.  

Sally - Equality, Liberation and Access Officer

Plant Potting
I really enjoyed all the liberation network mingles but I think my favourite event was plant potting. The sun was shining and there were lots of people taking part in a lovely relaxing event for wellbeing.
